Welcome to 'Notes' by This is it Studio
Notes is our monthly newsletter where we share insights from working with technical teams on how clear design drives sales, funding, and partnerships.
This is it Insights is a weekly and monthly newsletter on the influence of design on deep tech companies. This is it Insights is a weekly and monthly newsletter on the influence of design on deep tech companies.
Thank you for being part of This is it Studio’s 2025.
As we approach the end of 2025, we would like to extend our appreciation for our productive collaboration throughout the year. Your trust in our creative vision has been instrumental in our success, and we are grateful for the opportunity to have partnered with you.
This is a short reflection on the year.
What we built together, how the studio has been repositioning around deep-tech work, and what 2026 will demand from technical teams when it comes to design and communication.
A few highlights. This year we:
01. Relaunched a deep-tech VC’s digital presence ahead of new fund announcements, positioning them as a credible home for technical founders in India and globally.
02. Extended a 9-month partnership with a US solid-state battery company, building design systems and investor materials that supported strategic partnerships and government grants.
03. Ran focused design sprints that lifted conversions and doubled meeting bookings for AI SaaS products in competitive markets.
04. Repositioned logistics and fintech brands to stand confidently alongside European and institutional competitors.
05. Supported over $50M+ in Series A and C funding with work used directly in investor conversations.
06. Helped 10+ clients expand internationally and enter highly competitive markets.
When the story became clear and repeatable, the right investors, partners and buyers followed naturally.

What the market is asking for in 2026:
Would anyone understand what you do if you weren’t in the room?
In 2026, technical teams won’t be evaluated on vision alone.
The ones taken seriously will make three things obvious without explaining them: what the product does, why it works in this market, and why the team can be trusted with real capital.
Brand systems that make you look like the same company in every room: IC decks, vendor docs, product UI, presentations.
Websites that sell the edge case and the operational detail, not just the hero headline.
Investor and partner decks where product, data, roadmap and risk live in one clear story.
Product docs and internal knowledge bases that let engineers and partners find answers in seconds instead of scheduling another call.
This is the layer we are doubling down on in 2026.

How the studio evolved:
Over the last two years, our most effective work has come from the overlap of three things: deep-tech context, business strategy and design systems.
That clarity has shaped where we are headed next.
From 2026, This Is It Studio works as a design partner to technical and deep-tech teams building in:
Advanced materials and climate infrastructure
Breakthrough tech and hardware manufacturing
AI-native tools and complex SaaS
Aerospace and space systems
Health tech
The mandate is simple.
Pair visible, market-facing assets like brands, websites and decks with the invisible infrastructure like documentation, reports and product narratives.
That combination is what unlocks capital, partnerships and long-term adoption.

To support the kind of work we’re focused on, we’re launching 'Notes' as the studio’s resource layer.
This won’t be a typical newsletter.
You can expect:
Short breakdowns of live projects and which assets actually moved the needle. Decks, sites, docs, reports.
Field notes on deep-tech communication and how funds, labs and operators are reshaping their narratives.
Simple questions and checklists you can use for fundraising, site overhauls or product launches.
Low volume.
Concrete examples.
Practical takeaways.
The kind of thing you’d forward to a partner, not skim and forget.
Till then,
May the force be with you.
Prachi and Julia.
